While building the newly re-designed website I frequently visited Edutopia for inspiration and guidance in seeing, experiencing, and understanding how other non-profit educational organizations structured their site. I found that Edutopia and others rely heavily on imagery, video, and concise information to spread their information, as well as, participant feedback.
In addition to Edutopia, I also read about the Flat Classroom Project which creates group collaboration between schools on either side of the world. This site was the inspiration for integrating blogger and basecamp into the iDo website.
